State Capitol Flags Lowered To Honor Fallen Camp Pendleton Marine

Governor Jerry Brown ordered all flags be flown at half-staff over the State Capitol today in honor of fallen Camp Pendleton Marine Staff Sgt. Jonathan Davis.
Davis was a motor transport operations chief assigned assigned to Headquarters Battalion, 32nd Georgian Liaison Team, Regimental Combat Team 7, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.
The statement released by Governor Brown reads, in part:
On behalf of all Californians, Governor Brown and First Lady Anne Gust Brown honor Staff Sgt. Jonathan D. Davis, who bravely gave his life in service to our state and nation. The Governor and First Lady extend their deepest condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time.
