Tuesday, January 29, 2013
Police are searching a Tierrasanta neighborhood for a man suspected in a homicide case.
San Diego police officers and police officers from Anaheim began searching for 23-year-old Matthew Rowley shortly after 1 p.m.
Anaheim police officials said Rowley is wanted in connection with a homicide that happened in Corona. He is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and 140 pounds, and was last seen wearing a green shirt and blue jeans. Police consider Rowley armed and dangerous.
The search for Rawley prompted lockdowns at Kumeyaay Elementary School, De Portola Middle School, Junipero Serra High School, Tierrasanta Elementary School and Vista Grande Elementary School.
All lockdowns except Kumeyaay Elementary School were lifted at about 2:15 p.m.
Police are telling residents in the area to remain in their homes during the search.
