Marine Lance Cpl. Sara Castro Mata, 19, of Oakley, California was one of the alleged shooting victims of Sgt. Eusebio Lopez, 25, of Pacifica, California at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia last Thursday night.
Cpl. Jacob Wooley, 23, of Guntown, Mississippi also died in the shooting attack, according to the Associated Press.
All three Marines worked at Quantico's Officer Candidates School. Military officials have not given a motive for the shooting, except to say they believe Lopez shot Wooley and Castro Mata before turning the gun on himself.
Castro Mata's family spoke with San Francisco Bay Area television station KGO-TV about their beloved daughter and sister. I've posted that video up top.
