Camp Pendleton Marine Could Face Death Penalty In Navy Vet Killing (Video)

Camp Pendleton Marine Cpl. Kevin Coset, 23, will stand trial for the murder of 24-year-old Alvin Bulaoro, a Navy veteran and Army reservist.

The Associated Press reports Judge Richard Mills ruled Monday that there was enough evidence against Coset to try him for the murder of Bulaoro. The murder charges Mills faces have special circumstances attached to them, making him eligible for the death penalty.

As Home Post reported last month, Bulaoro was last seen alive on December 21, and his family reported him missing shortly thereafter. Bulaoro's body was discovered January 3rd in his Toyota 4Runner in the parking lot of a Fallbrook Albertson's grocery story.

Bulaoro's body was inside a sleeping bag and showed obvious signs of trauma, San Diego television station 10News reports:

Autopsy reports indicated Bulaoro was stabbed at least 44 times and was shot twice in the head.

Coset is slated to return to court April 9 for his arraignment.
