Camp Pendleton Marine Killed In Missouri ATV Crash

A Camp Pendleton Marine was killed over Memorial Day weekend in an ATV crash while visiting family in Missouri.

Cpl. Devin J. Scholl, 24, was driving a Honda Rancher ATV on May 26 when the vehicle overturned and he was ejected, reports the The Southeast Missourian:

Scholl was taken by ambulance to Perry County Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:06 p.m. Sunday, the highway patrol reported.

According to Scholl's obituary, he served in Afghanistan and worked as a motor transportation operator for the Marine Corps.

Scholl's funeral was held this morning in his hometown of Festus, Missouri.

He leaves behind his parents, sister, grandparents, and a fiancée.
