Army wife Rachel Poole held her infant daughter Isabella for the first time Monday, almost a week after she was brutally stabbed while nine months pregnant.

ABCnews.com reports Rachel's husband, Pvt. Justin Pele Poole, was deployed in Southeast Asia and chatting with his wife via FaceTime when the attack began.

Pvt. Moss heard his wife scream the alleged perpetrator's name as she was stabbed, according to The Daily Mail.

Moss took to Facebook in a desperate plea for help (as reported by Stars and Stripes):

“If u are seeing this message find out what ... hospital my wife is in and tell me the ... whereabouts of Corey moss. He ... went to my house while I’m deployed and stabbed her ten today [sic].”

A media alert released by the El Paso Police Department later identified the attacker as Corey Bernard Moss, 19, and gave his motive for the alleged crime:

Detectives have learned that Moss was inside of the victims home when she arrived home and then attacked her with a knife. The victim suffered stab wounds to her face and body as well as fractures that were sustained during the attack. The apparent motive in this case involved money which was owed to the victim by Moss for vehicle repairs.

Rachel was taken to University Medical Center in El Paso, where she delivered Isabella by cesarean section.
