Adapted from Émile Zola’s classic novel, the glittering shopping spectacle also stars Patrick Malahide as Lord Glendenning, Elaine Cassidy as Katherine Glendenning, and Sarah Lancashire as Miss Audrey. This seven-part series originally aired in 2013.

It’s not long before her beauty and talent catch the eye of the store’s dashing owner, John Moray.
Denise struggles to navigate the competing personalities in the Ladieswear department where she has been placed. Can her ingenuity save the day when she’s faced with her first challenges as a shop girl?
Part Two airs Sunday, July 13 at 11 p.m. - When a baby is found in the Ladieswear department, everyone at The Paradise becomes caught up in the commotion. The secrets of more than one employee are revealed, and emotions run high as reactions to the infant differ. Denise is faced with a situation that forces her to use all her cunning and take a bold step.
Part Three airs Sunday, July 20 at 11 p.m. - Miss Audrey falls ill and Moray must appoint one of the girls as her substitute, causing the rivalry between Denise and Clara to intensify.

Some light is shed on Jonas’ mysterious past and Denise learns a lesson when her latest idea doesn’t go as planned.
Part Five airs Sunday, August 3 at 11 p.m. - Exotic lovebirds arrive at The Paradise to be sold as the latest attraction, and Denise struggles to keep her feelings for Moray to herself.
