San Diego's Sempra Energy Acquires Wind Farm Project

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego-based Sempra Energy announced Thursday morning it has acquired and will develop a wind farm project in Nebraska.

The so-called Broken Bow 2 wind project, headed by Sempra subsidiary U.S. Gas & Power, will eventually generate enough renewable power for about 30,000 Nebraska homes, company compiled. Construction was scheduled to begin in Custer County in December, with completion expected later next year.

The terms of the acquisition were not released.
