The use of heroin has risen over the past decade in San Diego County, according to a study released today.

An MV- 22B Osprey attached to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing out of MCAS Miramar made a hard landing near Creech Air Force Base in Nevada on August 26. While all crew members were able to escape safely, the subsequent fire on the Osprey made the aircraft unrepairable, and a total loss costing $2 million.
In North Carolina, a fight is brewing over the homeless in the capital city of Raleigh. Elected leaders have asked charitable and religious groups to stop their long-standing tradition of feeding the homeless in a downtown park on weekends.
