Jeanette Walls On Writing About A Difficult Childhood
Wednesday, February 26, 2014
From gossip, to memoirs, to novels, writer Jeannette Walls knows how to dish.
She's explored the allure and history of scandal sheets and gossip, in her job as Scoop columnist for MSNBC.com, and in her book called DISH.
Then, she focused on the story of her nomadic, eccentric childhood in the memoir "The Glass Castle," which spent seven years on the New York Times bestseller list.
Now, Walls latest work is a novel about two girls trapped in another dysfunctional childhood called "The Silver Star."
