Green Beret Killed In Afghanistan (Video)

Green Beret and Army Sgt. Daniel T. Lee, 28, died Jan. 15 in Parwan Province, Afghanistan, when he was shot to death by enemy forces, according to a release by the Department of Defense.

Lee was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, N.C.

Lee grew up in Fort Wright, Kentucky. His father, Daniel Patrick Lee, told Cincinnati.com that his son loved being a soldier:

“He lit up a room when he came in and he was always smiling. He had such a positive outlook in life, was very strong and very dedicated to the U.S. Army.

“We are very proud of him.”
In addition to his parents, Lee is survived by his wife, Suzy; their 6-month-old son, Daniel Roderick Lee; and his older sister, Jamie Hahn.
