LOS ANGELES — First Lady Michelle Obama is visiting Los Angeles to deliver a pair of speeches — one at an event for veterans, the other at the Grammy Museum.

The White House says the first lady will give the keynote address Wednesday at the Unite for Veterans Summit, which will highlight the importance of assistance for veterans as they leave military service. Among those attending the event will be Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.

Mrs. Obama will also deliver remarks at the Grammy Museum's Jane Ortner Education Award Luncheon. This year's event will honor Southern California-based educator Sunshine Cavalluzzi and Grammy-nominated recording artist Janelle Monae.
