Temperatures Set To Soar In Inland Areas Of San Diego

High pressure over the Four Corners area of the western United States is expected to cause temperatures to soar above 115 degrees Fahrenheit in parts of San Diego County on Thursday, forecasters said.

A National Weather Service heat advisory is set to take effect in the mountains and deserts at 11 a.m. and will extend until 9 p.m. Friday.

Temperatures of 112 to 118 degrees are forecast for the deserts and highs could reach 105 degrees in the mountains, meteorologists said. A shallow marine layer will keep the coastal areas cooler.
