On SNAPSHOT, explore the eclectic and often eccentric side of San Diego with photographer Tim Mantoani as he travels with his camera capturing the stories and pictures that make up this amazing part of the world we call home.

Tim has an eye for telling a story in a single frame of film but there is so much more to every subject than just that memory captured in time.

Tim is excited to share his encounters, whether it’s interviewing a visionary surf board shaper or crossing the border to Tijuana to experience the unique world of Mexican wrestling.

"Tintype Photography And Civil War Re-Enactment" - Tintype portraits, popular throughout the 1860s and 1870s, have a unique place in photographic history.

The SNAPSHOT team discovers a Civil War re-enactment in Vista, the perfect avenue to highlight this special art form and for Tim to try his hand at making these one-of-a-kind images.
