San Diego County Temps Below Average Into Next Week

A broad trough off the coast of the Pacific Northwest and a persistent marine layer will keep temperatures in San Diego County below seasonal averages into early next week, meteorologists said Friday.

Highs over the next few days will be around 70 to 75 degrees in coastal areas, 71 to 76 in the inland valleys, 58 to 73 in the mountains, 73 to 78 in the upper deserts and 86 to 91 in the lower deserts, according to the National Weather Service.

The agency also said that night and morning low clouds will develop along lower mountain slopes "and will take longer to clear than what we have seen in recent weeks."
