U.S. Marine Helicopter Crashes In Gulf Of Aden, All 25 Aboard Rescued (Video)

Military Helicopter Crashes in the Middle East ABC News ABC News

All 25 Marines and sailors aboard a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter that crashed Monday into the Gulf of Aden survived, according to a Navy news release:

17 Marines and eight Navy Sailors, were safely recovered and are aboard USS Mesa Verde.

Personnel who sustained minor injuries in the crash were treated aboard USS Mesa Verde.
The helicopter, assigned to the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, was in the process of transferring Marines and sailors who'd been training in Djibouti back to the Mesa Verde.

The Associated Press reports the crash was not the result of any hostile activity in the area.

As Martha Raddatz of ABC News explains in the story I've posted up top, the rescue was nothing short of miraculous, considering the massive size of the CH-53E Super Stallion.
