Critical fire weather conditions are expected again Thursday in parts of San Diego County, with temperatures in the upper 90s in some areas, very low humidity and wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour.
A National Weather Service red flag warning for the mountains and inland valleys will remain in effect until 8 p.m.
Northeast to east winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 35 to 50 mph will be possible, forecasters said.

Among the peak wind gusts recorded around the county Wednesday were 47 mph in Sill Hill; 42 mph in Boulevard, Santa
Ysabel and Valley Center; 41 mph in Descanso; 39 mph in Alpine, Julian and Pine Valley; 38 mph on Volcan Mountain; 36 mph in Potrero and Rincon; and 35 mph in Warner Springs, according to the NWS.
"The strongest winds will continue to be below the Cajon Pass, the Inland Empire, the Santa Ana Mountains and foothills, inland Orange County and the foothills and western slopes of the San Diego County mountains," according to the weather service.
Above-average temperatures are also in the forecast across San Diego County.
High temperatures Thursday are expected to range from 85 to 90 degrees at the beaches, 92 to 97 degrees inland, 93 to 98 in the western valleys, 88 to 93 near the foothills, 78 to 87 degrees in the mountains and 89 to 94 in the deserts.
Any fire that breaks out will likely spread rapidly and outdoor burning is not advised, forecasters said.
Higher than normal temperatures are expected again Friday, as are dry conditions, but the winds are expected to weaken. Forecasters said cooler weather is expected this weekend, and rain will be possible in some areas Sunday afternoon through Monday.
