Women Face Retaliation Amid Sexual Harassment Firestorm

GUEST:

Laurel Rosenhall, reporter, CALmatters

Allegations of sexual harassment by state lawmakers continue to come out in Sacramento. And now, there are reports that there has been a backlash by some male legislators against the women who have come forward.

Laurel Rosenhall, a reporter with the nonprofit journalism organization CALmatters, wrote about the backlash described by some women in Sacramento. Rosenhall reports that some male legislators have tried to avoid all possibility of harassment accusations by not taking meetings, especially informal meetings, with female staffers and lobbyists.

Rosenhall joins Midday Edition Thursday to discuss the backlash against women at the state Capitol.
