San Diego's Top Weekend Events: Santa, 'Motown' and Free Dance Lessons

This weekend features a Christmas concert, a free day of dance and the return of "Motown the Musical."
'Motown the Musical'
The musical tells the story of Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to a music mogul who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson and many more. Expect dazzling dance numbers and beloved songs like "My Girl" and "Ain’t No Mountain High Enough."

San Diego Symphony's 'Noel Noel' Concert
If you’re looking for a festive kickoff to Christmas, the San Diego Symphony has you covered with its "Noel Noel" concert.
This family-friendly performance has a narrator and appearances by the San Diego Master Chorale and San Diego Children's Choir. You’ll also hear classical music favorites like the "March of the Three Kings" and "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy." It closes with a holiday singalong, plus a visit from Santa himself.

Free Day of Dance 2017
This annual event is for dance enthusiasts of all levels and abilities. Throughout the day you'll be able to meet the instructors and take sample classes from Malashock Dance, San Diego Ballet, Jean Isaacs San Diego Dance Theater and NTC Foundation. Styles include ballet, modern, tango, jazz and theater. Just bring comfortable shoes and a sense of adventure.
