As the year draws to a close we are talking with reporters in the KPBS newsroom about the big stories they have covered in 2017.

KPBS reporter Erik Anderson's reporting beat focuses mainly on stories about the environment. This year that has included drought, sewage spills in Tijuana that have impacted residents in Imperial Beach and other parts of the south bay and how redeveloping the Qualcomm Stadium site in Mission Valley could change our urban environment.

Anderson joins KPBS Midday Edition Thursday to discuss those stories and what he plans to cover in the coming year.
