In five new episodes of KEN KRAMER'S ABOUT SAN DIEGO (Thursday nights, Jan. 25-Feb. 22), we discover hidden stories in our street names; and remember the Bostonia Ballroom where country music legends from Johnny Cash to Marty Robbins used to play.
We visit a futuristic technology center, preserved just as it was a half-century ago; go to an historic home where the owner carried every stone to build it himself; and we learn the story of a tiny cemetery just off the 56 Freeway in Carmel Valley.
Get an update on several stories about San Diego, including a return visit to the Kensington Caves, a network of tunnels and rooms beneath a house on the rim of an urban canyon.
We visit a man who is always on watch, working from a fire lookout in a remote part of San Diego’s back country.
We go back in time to remember a famous car salesman in post-war San Diego, who would make you the deal of a lifetime in order to sell you a car that might be running…or not.
Much more too!
