California Lawmakers Introduce Bills To Prepare For Future Natural Disasters

Last year was one of the most destructive years for natural disasters in the U.S.

In California, wildfires ravaged whole communities in Northern and Southern California, including losses suffered in San Diego County from the Lilac Fire.

Wildfires were followed by this month's devastating mudslides in Santa Barbara County.

In response to recent disasters, state lawmakers proposed a number of bills aimed at helping residents escape in time and recover afterward.
