Get KPBS & NPR News on Your Phone
There are now several ways you can get KPBS News from your phone. Through a partnership with NPR, you can hear the latest local news through a mobile Web interface. For those without mobile Internet access, you can listen to the latest news simply by dialing (619) 618-2635.
We're also using Twitter to highlight the top stories of the day and publish breaking news. See below for more details.

There are many ways you can receive our Twitter updates on your mobile phone:
- You can view our tweets on your mobile phone's browser at m.twitter.com/kpbsnews.
- You can sign up for an account online and activate phone notifications to get text message news updates.
- You can also receive text messages directly on your mobile phone without signing up for an account online: Just send a text message to 40404 with the words follow kpbsnews. Twitter will send you a text message asking you to confirm with your name (which will become your account name).
