Prince was a toddler when his parents were murdered in Rwanda. He then spent most of his youth living in the Congo and Uganda before coming to the U.S. and settling in City Heights. He now helps support a school in Uganda and wants to start a nonprofit.

Ken has lived in City Heights since the mid-1960s. He regularly works in the Fairmount Village Peace Garden, a cooperative involving the American Friends Service Committee of San Diego, Church of the Brethren, San Diego Quaker Meeting or Friends Meeting and San Diego Peace Resource Center.
