How much of your city's general fund goes towards pensions?

Cities that have their own police departments pay more to CALPERS  for pension obligations than cities without. However that doesn't mean cities without their own police departments pay less! They pay law enforcement pension costs in another way:  through their contracts with the County for Sheriff services.
