The KPBS Radio Reading Service broadcasts the readings of newspapers, books and magazines to those with low vision, blindness and other print impairments.

Volunteer driven, donor funded.

Airing 24 hours a day over a private audio channel, the Reading Service is accessible to qualified recipients through two means:

• A specialized radio: for San Diego users obtained from KPBS. 
• Via webstream: for users worldwide.

Thanks to nearly 150 local volunteers as well as programming shared by similar operations across the country, the free service is able to help connect listeners to a wide variety of print materials, including but not limited to:
