The Explanation

San Diego is a place like no other. And no one knows this better than Jordan Jacobo, a San Diego native bent on exploring the unseen corners and unknown features of America’s Finest City.

After studying television and film production at Southwestern College’s School of Telemedia, Jordan began his career as a documentarian. Jordan's love of history inspired him to create a series of films that document the journey of some of San Diego’s most prominent artists, communities and institutions.

He went on to develop such comedic narrative series as “Soldiers of Misfortune,” and “Fletcher and Jenks,” as well as KPBS' “Permission to Speak Freely.”

Now, Jordan hosts “Jordan Hates,” an award-winning web series that humorously explores the darker aspects of the human condition, as well as “Jordan Loves," an exploration of the unseen aspects of San Diego.
