Angelina Scholey is the first point of contact for the newsroom, ensuring effective communications within the station as well as with the public and press contacts. She is responsible for coordinating meetings, evaluating appearance requests for station journalists, and executing budget plans.
Scholey has a background in office management and administration with a focus on fiscal and human resources. She has demonstrated experience in cross-divisional communications, distribution of program information, customer service, and program coordination. Before joining KPBS, Angelina worked for the SDSU Research Foundation on the Upward Bound project, the U.S. Department of State, and Plantronics.
Scholey was born in Mexicali and raised in Tijuana. She earned her AA in Business Management from Southwestern College. She is fluent in Spanish and French. She enjoys traveling, relaxing with her family, and good Mexican food.
