Interactive Technology Manager
A professional web developer since 2000, Jim Tinsky started working for KPBS as an independent contractor in 2009 during the migration to EllingtonCMS. His interest in web development, content distribution, and journalism were a good fit with KPBS. He became the interactive technology manager in September 2010.
Jim leads a small team of dedicated developers who are continually challenged to distribute the best news and information content in San Diego. This content is delivered to a variety of platforms including live streaming audio, video and audio on demand, and news, information and custom developed features for the web that enhance reporting to the KPBS audience.
Jim graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in English and lives in North Park San Diego with his three rescued pit bulls.
