Cinema Junkie Intern

Nate John is an intern blogger for Cinema Junkie. He received his bachelor's degree in religious studies at SDSU in May 2012 with secondary emphases in journalism and film. While attending SDSU, he worked for KPBS as an audience services representative, radio reading service assistant, newsroom intern, production assistant and administrative assistant. He also served as the news director for SDSU’s campus radio station, KCR College Radio, where he produced and hosted a weekly news and entertainment program.

Nate was born in Iceland, grew up in a military family, and moved eight times before arriving in San Diego at age 14. He has lived in several different areas of the city, from Oceanside to San Ysidro. He is an alumnus of Junipero Serra High School in Tierrasanta. Nate enjoys exploring state parks, hiking, camping, and beer tasting.

Nate is currently pursuing a career in journalism and has several professional goals, including covering Middle Eastern relations, modern religious movements, and hosting television and radio news programs.
