Trina previously held the position of Assistant Director of Development for the College of Arts and Letters at San Diego State University raising major and planned gifts and recruiting volunteer leaders. In addition to a background in banking and public relations, she has spent more than 15 years in volunteer leadership, program development, mentoring, teaching, training, events and fundraising. She comes from a military family, has lived in several locations, and appreciates a wide range of experiences and diversity.

Trina has a passion for KPBS and its mission to educate, inspire, entertain and advance civic involvement. She has enjoyed being a volunteer reader for KPBS Radio Reading Service since 2004.

San Diego has been Trina’s home for 20 years and she has three grown children. She enjoys the outdoors, hiking, swimming at the beach, bicycling, travel, movies and museums.
