Interim Assistant General Manager of Development
Trina Hester oversees all major giving initiatives and charts the direction of the development department. She serves on the management council and is responsible for major gifts, planned giving, and the KPBS Producers Club – the station’s annual giving program with 850 members giving $1,200 or more. She is the main liaison to the Advisory Council, Planned Giving Advisory Committee, and the Producers Club Committee.
Trina joined the staff of KPBS in 2009 and has been a volunteer reader for the KPBS Radio Reading Service since 2004. Previous to joining KPBS, she worked in major gifts and development for SDSU and public affairs for Nuffer, Smith, Tucker PR firm, Point Loma Nazarene University, and the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office.
Trina has a broad background in volunteer leadership in the areas of community development and ministry. She received her degree in communications from Point Loma Nazarene University.
