Students, Workers, Immigration Reform Supporters Rally On May Day In Southern California

I just watched the march that started at city college go past me. It looked like some sort of caddywhompus communist/gay pride/illegal immigrant anti-deportation parade. I smiled at them as they marched by, it was my way of thanking them for the visual reminder of everything I vote against. Now enough of the screaming and whining for handouts and hookups during the middle of the work day - work hard, study hard, and get jobs my energetic friends! :-)

Covered California Finally Releases Spanish-Language Enrollment Form

Why is this needed in America where our national language is English? Shouldn't legal immigrants be expected to know some basic level of English, and be expected to assimilate if they wish to legally leave their country and come to ours?

California Bullet Train In Limbo After Legal Setbacks

Derek, I would prefer to toll all freeway lanes actually, then I would pay for what I use. But sheesh, you sure know a lot about traffic flow, I have to give you credit! I have never seen a document like that before, quite interesting.

California Bullet Train In Limbo After Legal Setbacks

Derek, are our roads, airports and current rail lines totally maxed out right now? Are we even close to being maxed out? When will we get to the point where we have masses of people that want to get up to San Francisco, but can't because of infrastructure limitations? God forbid we can't zip up to San Francisco on a fashionable (and dare I say "ironic" in the hipster sense) bullet train.

Second Opinion: What We Learned About Health Care — And Our Readers — in 2013

CaliforniaDefender, you are right on here.

"I'm also sorry you think 24 respondents is statistically significant."

Ha ha, I thought the same thing! 24? Come on, that is worthless, no point in reading any further.

Group sues California over new transgender law

"...and some might try to claim to be another gender simply to gain access to bathrooms."

Might? No, many will, for sure. If the law goes into effect as planned on January 1st, we will no doubt immediately hear story after story of abuses and problems, and there will be chaos and outrage.

This law is so completely insane, even to the majority of those on the far left, that it can't be allowed to hold up. Nobody wants this except for a handful of aggressive, loud, entitled, outrageous, nut-job, extremist, LGBT domestic terrorists.

Let it be voted on!!!

Survey Finds Muslim Students In California Are Subject To Bullying

CaliforniaDefender, I agree with you. Just as many, if not more, Christian students are bullied as well nowadays. The "modern man", or leftist, proclaims himself to be very tolerant and open minded, except for anyone who disagrees with his moral relativism, then he is aggressively eager to trample the rights of the dissenter and stifle their free speech, freedom of religion, and even free thought by trying to remove any form of religion from education and trying to remove any religious symbols (Soledad cross, etc.) from public view.
"...when the teacher makes the classroom an okay environment to be bullied, to talk about religion in an inappropriate way, that makes it even worse because now students are free to do it."
A baker, private business owner, disagrees that homosexuality is morally acceptable, yet a judge orders him to bake a cake for a gay wedding. People are actually trying to make it a hate crime for people to speak against homosexuality. The examples are innumerable.
Peking, you are correct that not all Muslims are terrorists, neither are all Christians Westboro Baptists, etc.
The leftist bullies are the worst bullies of all because they are wolves in sheep's clothing, pretending to be weak and oppressed and playing the victim. They are making society worse, and creating tension between different groups and actually causing hate, bullying and oppression. Or, they are orchestrating all the chaos and tension so that the government has reason to step in and bring order to the mindless sheep, the masses, the useful idiots, believing that some socialistic/communistic utopia is possible. This is precisely the tactic used by some of the worst communist regimes in history. Just leave everyone alone and stop trying to make it the big government's job to protect people from getting their feelings hurt. Protect human life, protect freedom of religion, protect freedom of speech. Let everyone live how they wish.

Mount Soledad Cross Dispute Far From Over

If they painted it the colors of the gay rainbow, that cross would never come down since the LGBT community gets whatever special treatment they want every time they start whining and throwing a big fit and calling everyone hateful.

Covered California Officials Admit They Need To Do More To Attract Latinos

Thanks for the reminder Tarryn Mento, I will be a little more careful with my words here. For the record, I love Latinos, and have many Latino friends!

Covered California Officials Admit They Need To Do More To Attract Latinos

I suppose that was a little bit of an unfair, blanket generalization. But the stereotype is there, Dave Chappelle even joked about it, so I think there is some truth to it. When I used to drive a car, I was hit two separate times by Latinos, once while driving, another time while parked, and both times, the drivers were uninsured. So in my personal experience with Latinos on insurance related matters, I have found that 100% of them did not buy insurance.
