Escondido Planning Commission Rejects Shelter For Immigrant Children

Missionfailed,

I am very well aware of everything you mentioned.

I would much rather see enforcement aimed at businesses and politicians who bend or break immigration law. Punishing them is the solution to this problem.

I've always said that.

You just prefer to hear the sound of your own keystrokes endlessly tapping away. BTW, you still need to get that "K" key fixed.

Shelter For Immigrant Children Could Open In Escondido

Missionfailed,

You can't connect A to B can you? It is quite simple.

A child left in terrible conditions will likely resort to criminal activity to survive.

But these children would have never become criminals or even started such a dangerous journey if they knew it was impossible to stay in the US illegally.

Thus the source of their misery is with people like you and Commus who encourage illegal immigration.

She genuinely laughs? Please Duck. She's well known as one of the most humorless people in DC. Any laughing is carefully practiced and scripted.

I just don't see anything about her that is genuine except the nepotism that has propped up her political career.

Can't we have a moderate, sensible, intelligent candidate for just one election, Republican or Democrat? JUST ONCE? I know, I'm pleading in vain.

Warhawks1980,

Glad to have your eye-witness account which sheds a lot of light on this issue and the people behind it.

Ronik145,

There are intentionally no inscriptions on the Statue of Liberty. The New Colossus poem, which I assume you are referring to, is part of a collection of works in the museum.

All the immigrants who passed by the statue to Ellis Island were legal.
Lady Liberty is also prominently holding a legal tablet in her hand symbolizing the fair and equal rule of law.

If anything, illegal aliens are spitting on the statue and rejecting the symbolism, not honoring it.

Duck, I respect your views (even when we disagree) as I find you to be a well reasoned critical thinker.

But you have to acknowledge that this book isn't genuine. It was written and marketed by a team of political operatives as a 600 page campaign mailer.

Or perhaps just a heavy one page campaign mailer as the Boston Globe put it:

“Hard Choices is destined to be a book that is purchased but not read, a volume given but not opened."

New York Times: "Clinton has opted for a safe and unchallenging volume, full of bromides and talking points."

Politico: “A newsless snore, written so carefully not to offend that it will fuel the notion that politics infuses every part of her life.”

Slate: "A risk-free telling of Clinton's world travels..."

Time: "It reads like—and is—a political campaign book."

Please don't be one of those people, Duck. Don't be apart of the dishonest history of US politics.

Commus' "no further discussion" comment gets to the root of his/her argument:

Racism.

Encourage more poor Hispanic children to risk sex abuse, slavery, and death to travel to America to simply become votes.

How horribly sadistic. Just pure evil.

CNN reported that the book tour for her memoir has resembled a political campaign, run by campaign operatives instead of book publicists.

===

I see nothing but sheep standing in line. Ready to believe Hilliary's propaganda without any critical thinking despite widespread criticism of her book.

How do people get this way? Is it just a compulsion to feel part of a group?

Escondido Planning Commission Rejects Shelter For Immigrant Children

Quote of the month, perhaps the year:

“By allowing this facility here in our hometown, we’re condoning what the federal government is doing that’s illegal,” said Karen Seibold

Karen Seibold should run for office!

Escondido Planning Commission Rejects Shelter For Immigrant Children

Congratulations Escondido!

You are a noble and compassionate city!

Groups like Southwest Key prey upon vulnerable youth. They are responsible for this increase in illegal minors, their suffering, and all those who have been sold into slavery or die along the road to get here.

They should be investigated for fraud, waste, and abuse not to mention aiding and abetting in the commission of federal crimes.
