Shelter For Immigrant Children Could Open In Escondido

Yes, the fence does not cover the entire border and is ineffective. That is irrelevant.

My point, which you entirely missed, is that the kids that make it here are pretty hardened and tough. Not just from the journey, but their entire life.

I have a strong sense of morality and have ALWAYS stood up for legal immigrants.

However, you are morally bankrupt. If you had anything to back up your empty argument, you wouldn't need to insult people. But you don't, so you do.

And to counter your "final" note... NOTHING says they won't.

Poll: Half Of Californians Still Support Obama

Page 5 of the Field Poll linked to this article. 39% approve, 50% disapprove. We're not talking votes, but current approval.

Clearly there are many San Diegans who are disaffected by Obama and regret voting for him.

This is something I suspected as San Diegans tend to be a bit more reflective, down to earth, and willing to admit flaws or past mistakes.

Those in LA and SF are more superficial, cover up mistakes (image is everything) , and tend to follow the herd.

If they were accepted as refugees or entered via the work/school/citizenship process, they should be welcomed with open arms.

They did not and are cutting in line ahead of hundreds of thousands of children and their families.

What of them?

Are you going to tell them because they followed the law that they are less deserving? What message is that to new immigrants?

That is not just illegal, but immoral.

You are the one with no heart or compassion. Permitting these illegal alien children will encourage countless more to make a dangerous decision.

Their suffering and blood is on your hands.

A 6-foot-tall fence would be built to provide security and “keep residents from wandering off the site.”

They illegally crossed a border with a 21 foot fence, armed guards, dogs, helicopters, cameras, and sensors and they think a 6 foot fence will keep them from wandering off?

I'm certain most are street smart, criminally hardened, and willing to use those skills if they "wander off" into Escondido.

Please vote NO on this short-sighted, poorly developed plan!

Poll: Half Of Californians Still Support Obama

The poll confirms Obama's support is limited to LA and SF (no surprise). He is very unpopular everywhere else, including San Diego where he polls at paltry 39%.

The majority of Californians also believe the country is "seriously off on the wrong track."

So why do 50% approve of Obama? Racism. For instance, blacks gave him an 84% favorable rating. Policy and achievement? Who cares, he's black!

$76 Million Found For Golden Gate Suicide Barrier

That equals over $50,000 per person since 1937.

Wouldn't it be more efficient to just give jumpers the cash?

At least most of the money is federal, so who cares.

U.S. Court Releases Obama Administration's 'Drone Memo'

A censored document about constitutional law clearly means there is something seriously unconstitutional about it. Even criminal.

It is time to impeach Obama.

While most of his actions have been limp at best, the precedent he is setting could be dangerous in the hands of a more dynamic and virulent president.

He must be impeached to send a message to future presidents. This is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Common Core Education Standards Rolled Out Early In Chula Vista

Wow, you insult people even when you have no opinion.

I'm surprised you have none as this is a pretty important issue. I'd say the most important as it affects everything in life.

Common Core Education Standards Rolled Out Early In Chula Vista

If parents truly care about their children's education and future, they will send them to private schools and will go to any length and effort to pay for it. I know I am.

It can be done.

If not, skip the terrible public schools and send your kids to work in the fields. At least they'll learn a practical skill.

Otherwise you'll end up with lazy kids with no practical skills who think they're entitled to live off government handouts or your couch. Probably both.

Netanyahu Says Israel Has Proof Hamas Is Behind Kidnapping Of Teens

Sure Mossad could have stopped 9/11, but why? It was the perfect catalyst to get the US to invade and destroy two enemy states without Israel spending one dime or drop of blood on it.

It was the perfect plan, but...

They didn't anticipate the US government's miserable occupation failure which stems from their astounding ignorance of the culture and history of the region.
