Is San Diego Ready For Sky Tram Linking Downtown To Balboa Park?

I like this proposal, and look forward to hearing the results of the study. I think the proposed route would cross the airport's flight path, though.

Shoppers Get San Diego Grocery Store To Clean Up Its Act

It gives me hope when I see communities come together to bring about positive change like this. This is a much more productive use of everyone's time than endlessly kvetching about it on Yelp and other social media. Kudos to Ms. Howell, the community, the Urban Collaborative Project, and Kroger for making this happen.

@Mmikey: No, it was moved to Guantanamo Bay when Castro cut the water supply to the base in 1964. It has since been upgraded and replaced with more efficient reverse osmosis technology. Details here:

Drought Continues As San Diego Looks At Reusable Water

@JeanMarc: No, those of us reading this article now won't be here in 300 years, but is this really the legacy we want to leave our descendants? We're responsible. We can and must do better than this.

@Eddie89: Sending the nuclear waste to the sun is a great concept, but if the rocket malfunctioned the results would be disastrous to all life on Earth.

San Diego Marks Anniversary Of 9/11 Terrorist Attack

There's a beautiful and very touching September 11 memorial on the lawn between the Convention Center and the Hilton downtown that should not be missed. It includes several photos, audio recordings, names of the many souls lost, a beam from the World Trade Center, Ladder Truck 152 from Queens, and more. It will be there until 9 PM Wednesday night.

How Should U.S. Respond To Chemical Weapons Attack In Syria?

So many more innocents will be killed in the crossfire, and for what? The International Crisis Group has a compelling proposal that the US and other determined-to-strike-no-matter-what governments should read before taking any action:
