What California's Orca Bill Would Mean For San Diego's SeaWorld

Actually, that's a good point. I had an ant farm once, and it came with the option of setting it up so that the ants were free to come and go, to go gather food and take care of their business, but set up shop between the panes of glass for my entertainment and education.

Would the orcas do that if we gave them the choice?

San Diego Soaks Up Water Savings Following Storm

Then we'll have wildfires, like every year. You knew that, right? I don't get your question.

Plastic Bag Ban Gets Support Of California Lawmakers

I can't wait. I love the beach (see my avatar), but those plastic bags area nuiscance. I've seen them on the beach and in the water.

City, County Politicians Squabbling Over Lake Morena Reservoir

Jacumba - the more I think about it, the more I like that idea. What about evaporation? And, does any water flow out of the reservoir on an everyday basis?

City, County Politicians Squabbling Over Lake Morena Reservoir

I love Lake Morena. But can you imagine the public outcry if the county bought that water? And what about the next time the City wants to draw it down? Should the County step in then too? We are in a very bad drought, I don't think Gloria has it out for Lake Morena.

San Diego Seeks A Swifter Current For Water Recycling

Desalination is very expensive, due to energy costs. They do it extensively in the Middle East, because energy is very cheap there. We should also keep in mind that the majority of water that we import comes from the Colorado River, where over 80 municipalities discharge their treated wastewater.

And regarding greywater - that can only be done on a very small scale, because we don't have segregated sewer lines.
