CSU Trustees Approve Tuition Hike, SDSU President's $400,000 Salary

"California's economy is the eighth largest economy in the world,[1] if the states of the U.S. were compared with other countries.[2][3] As of 2008, the gross state product (GSP) is about $1.85 trillion, which is 13% of the United States gross domestic product (GDP)..."

Jerry Brown's Salary: $173,987.00

And you're telling me that managing SDSU deserves more economic rewards than managing the eight largests economy in the world. Geez!

Not that Jerry needs more money, dont get me wrong, but Come on!

And to add insult to injury with the same stroke the board approves a hike of fees! Now that is enfuriating.

Border Patrol Shooting At Fence Prompts Criticism

@David65 "One would be very surprised how Mexicans treat people entering their country illegally. Them pointing the finger at us is like the pot calling the kettle black" I believe the piece says Kevin Keenan, executive director of the ACLU is the one putting out the complaint, that is the AMERICAN Civil Liberties Union.
As hard as I try to see your comments not tainted in racism, I just cannot find where it does say that The Mexican Government or A Mexican said this was unjust. Maybe a bit of due diligence and commenting in the actual piece and not on your true feelings against Mexicans would be better.

And in general, if we are spending how many billions a year in training and equipment, techniques, etc. for our border patrol agents, and for that matter our Homeland security forces, to not be afraid of terrorists and valid threats but yet they have to response with deadly force to a rock thrown by a 40 year old, Mexican dude, I am not sure that money is being well spent.

I am all up for legal everything. Abide by the law and the law will take care of you, but seriously? You think that just because I crossed legally you won’t shoot me? How would you know I have papers?
I cross legally, I am a US citizen and STILL I get harassed because of the way I look. Tell me how many times have you come back to your country and have been sent to secondary revision? But I guess we have to do it right? I mean I could be Iraqi, or afghan or some other dark brown nationality that we don’t like.

No real solution here but just had to comment on the eternal excuses and arguments that don’t make sense but are only a cover for bigotry.

Have a nice day.
