I was stunned by the coments I heard from the professor about how the strike doesn't affect anyone very much. He is clearly out of touch with the reality of the lower paid portion of American public. He must be a tenured prof with nothing much to do and he gets paid whether he works or not, so he is unaffected by just about anything/everything. After the last two stikes the benefits offered and the new low pay tier is the result of those. The unions used to have a place back in the 30's, 40's and 50's butnowadays, they are worse than the government.
