Chief Landsdowne's apology looks very nice...sounds really good in the press. Very impressive. But, actually, not quite. His apology raises a very important question: Is this all the SDPD police chief should apologize for? Surely, there must be something else worthy of a public apology. Perhaps he could include apologies for the targeting & victimizing of innocent motorists, otherwise known as profiling. Or, maybe an apology is due to all those unsuspecting motorists who're literally ambushed through SDPD speed traps, and roving traffic police dedicated to & given the directive to specifically write tickets...tickets which naturally include exorbitant fines of course. Two things come to mind: ONE: Picking of low hanging fruit TWO: City Coffers (more importantly)
