Catholic Church Reformer On U.S. Tour Stops In San Diego

He's making his comments in a Unitarian church? That says a lot right there.

Councilman Says City Code On Recall Elections Should Be Amended

It would be nice if you had included why the state law was struck down in federal court in 2003. I'm sure there's a good reason, but it just isn't obvious to me. Bringing local law into line with changed state law seems like a really good idea to me, but the curious among us wonder, "Why?" the current wording was declared unconstitutional at the state level.

Second Opinion: Do I Have To Cover My Three Employees Under Obamacare?

Really? This is a serious question? I can understand not knowing the ins and outs of Covered California, but not the simple fact that the need to provide coverage doesn't apply to someone with 3 employees. I am hoping the question was just a platform to explain how a small business employer could provide coverage if she were so inclined.

Rally Called First Step In Recall Of Mayor Bob Filner

I could find this crowd's outrage against Filner more plausible if they weren't the very same Republicans who actively campaigned for DeMaio (R) and against Filner (D) in the last election (see signs). I believe that the fact that Filner appears to be a sexist pig is a secondary issue to his holding office with that (D) after his name for this particular group.

If Filner is forced to resign, there will be a special election (thank you, Wikipedia). The (D)'s can find someone more fit for the job and the (R)'s will need to decide whether to go with DeMaio again or try someone else. I can only wish that a group like this could actually be so worked up about a politician who displays such disregard for women as people vs. the fact that he is the wrong flavor.
