The Battle Over Single-Use Grocery Bags

As another example, the country of Ireland took similar measures and within one month of their policy change, the public went from 90% opposition to 90% support of eliminating plastic bags from grocery stores and simply using reusable bags.

Plastic bags were introduced in the USA in 1973 and while their convenience has made our lives "easier", it has come at a huge environmental cost. A cost that simply is not worth the convenience. Buy a few resuable bags for $1 each and put them in your car. Its really not that hard.
