Cracking The Endorsement Code In The San Diego Mayor's Race

Progressivebuthey, nice racism. Solid use of tropes like "why don't they speak English" and "Mexican wannabee." You get a hard 9.5 for this.

Here's the problem. Alvarez was born right here in San Diego, so not a Mexican wannabee. And I am sure no one is calling 3 times a night. They don't have enough staff to get that done.

I think you're not progressive at all.

What I came here to say is I saw that Father Joe endorsed Faulconer. I'll never give another cent to that group, I'll stick to Goodwill and Oxfam. Bad move for Father Joe, he should have kept himself above the fray.

San Diegans Boycott Stores Open On Thanksgiving Day

I'm one of those people. No shopping in any store that was open yesterday, and not just for the Christmas season but for all of 2014 as well.

Supporters Ask Filner To Resign Over Sexual Harassment Claims

What Briggs and Frye are asking is that Filner walk away without his accusers even having to make their claims. The women involved must make their allegations in a public forum. There's issues of due process that need to be addressed.

Filner's not going anywhere without a fight. It seems to me there are people who have wanted him out from the start and they've been charging at him since he took the oath. He was right on the Travel Marketing District case, his city attorney works harder against him than for the city, and now this comes up and supposedly sober individuals like Donna Frye are demanding he walk away without due process?

I smell a rat. I'm not saying Filner isn't a misogynist, he very well might be. I'm saying there's a lot of people trying to railroad this guy and I'd like to know the real reason why.

Review: 'The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence'

These are films that I would never see, but in the course and scope of my web browsing I've seen pics of the two leads. I've not seen two such odd looking people, this Laurence Harvey (I assume not related to the British actor) especially.

Beth, you have a much stronger will for this stuff than I ever would.

Duncan Hunter Slams Navy for Naming Ship after Cesar Chavez

What? Duncan Hunter's kid Duncan Hunter has a problem with the Navy honoring a native of Mexico?

Did Hunter every consider that naming a ship for Chavez might do great things for recruiting?

Surprised he has time for this with all his fervent opposition to ending DADT. Oh, what am I saying, there's always time for hating on minorities, no matter who busy his schedule.

Proposition A Wins Big

Why is it that Americans find a way to vote against any law or ordinance that makes life a little better for someone else who is not them?

Are we resigned to an existence where our first thought is "How can I make life a little worse for my fellow man?"

Are we that invested in making sure we're doing better than the next guy, even if that means throwing a wrench in his works?

TV: Thoughts On New Season Of HBO's "True Blood"

Hi Angela. Yeah, that was me who speculates some San Diego roots for the Lone Wolf.

Thanks so much for the link. Always very exciting to see that coming from my local media.
