@Emily Richards, CPA, @SD92131The taxpayers (or at least 55%) approved Proposition S to address deteriorating facilities and infrastructure. It is not a short sited solution but rather a mechanism to fund building structures with a 20+ year life.
Despite your opinion on how this money should be spent, the taxpayer's approved specific language that prohibited this money being spent on daily operating costs, supplies, teacher/administrator's salaries.
No tricks, no avoidance of the question, just supporting taxpayer trust by using the money for the purpose it was approved.
@MrGreenChiefYour ideas are supported and timely. The District has been working on this for some time. Expect to see about 25 solar installations this summer including solar covered parking lots.
