I was startled to hear the biased discussion regarding SOHO’s court victory stopping the Jacobs plan to build a bypass off the Cabrillo bridge and install a pay-to-park structure behind the organ pavilion. It’s great that Irwin Jacobs is so generous in San Diego with his massive Qualcom fortune, but his seeming ability to mute the voice of all critics by having essentially bought media allegiance is frightening. There are plenty of better plans for getting traffic out of the Plaza de Panama, but you dismissed them just as your donor did.
