One wonders what the definition of wildlife is then? I know both sanctuaries are doing their best for Meatball, but Colorado has conflicting laws and regulations as the following definition states:
"Colorado State Law and Colorado Parks & Wildlife regulations both define a Sanctuary as "[A] place of refuge… for abused, neglected, unwanted, impounded, abandoned, orphaned, or displaced wildlife for their lifetime."
As Meatball is both impounded and displaced he fits into this catagory for Sanctuary care. Colorado is clearly not following it's own regulations.
As the Wild Animal Sanctuary already has an available habitat for the bear it would be best choice.
