Public Safety And San Diego's Prop. D

I just noticed something on this page about prop D. There is a question/online poll asking wether we support prop D or not? Well, do we have all the information? Does the money go to firefighters and police or border security or some security guard at a park in Coronado? Maybe the money will be sent to a guy named Public Saftey. What is on the ballot? Is that not what this story is about? A lack of information is what this story is about. Then there is an online question box. That is just absurd.
You--hooo! News people you wrote about how vague the ballot is then you want an online poll done by the reader. Do I understand this clearly? Maybe I missed something.

Business Group Wants Guaranteed Reforms In Addition To Prop.D

Humm. . .I see words, but they are not saying anything. What is going to be on the ballot with prop D? Did you see anything said about that? Okay, there should be some rules when doing a story. Yes, we know prop D is a sales tax increase. So, give us some information. General fund is pretty vague. Does that mean taxes to parks and rec. or firefighters or to pension payouts that are too high? Maybe you can follow-up with a story with some meat. People are not too stupid to read and understand a lengthy ballot. If that is what this story is about. I am disappointed. Tell us what is in the ballot. Is there anything there? Come on news people. . .There are people out here who have questions and do think.

Farm Jobs Big In San Diego, But Not Among Americans

How about moving mexicans to America? We could pay them to do the job and offer them a fast track to Green Card. Our system is stupid. We have illegals doing this work and not getting any support. No insurance, no accountablity from either party. Ilegals come and go, give them a ss number and tax them. They get out of Mexico, we get labor help and accountability from them. People are so hung up on politics that they cannot see the bigger picture. Does anyone know how long it takes a Mexican to get a green card? People in Mexico (Mexicans) do not have many options, drug cartel or sneek into America. The reason I say people in Mexico is that they are potential Americans. We do not choose where we are born; therefore, we are all potentials.

Public Safety And San Diego's Prop. D

I hope more people start reading a looking into how politics work before voting. The campaign advertisements are horrible and our financial issues are critical.

Calif. Gov, Legislative Leaders Reach Budget Deal

Yeah!! Thank you for holding out. It is necessary to change pension plans. Taxpayers are paying for extravagant pensions, for which we never get ourselves (those of us that work at Taco Bell). More really needs to be done, but this is a start.

Calif. High Court Upholds Schwarzenegger Furloughs

People who complain are those who are employeed, at least they have a job. Everyone must have something to complain about. Here is my question, do you think Schwarzenegger likes making 200,000 people angry? Yeah, he does it just to anger people in San Diego. Hello union people spend some time on something more creative. Schwarzenegger is a smart man. San Diego is hurting for money and it is something people do not want to admit. Or, maybe we don't want to work to change it.

Census Data Shows San Diego Families In Poverty Increasing

Come on people, where are the comments? This is horrible. Do you know how many people cannot afford healthcare? Or, even a home. Food cost too much? What is going on? We need to do something. Do you know how many people are unable to afford basic needs? Most people we see every day have some form of financial problems. All the stories we hear are connected by one thing. . .MONEY. We ain't got it! None, nada, nichts!

More Reforms Being Considered At SD City Hall

Is anyone out there? Sound of silence. No comments? Maybe San Diego should stop paying a fortune out in pensions. Just an idea. I am not happy with our financial situation in San Diego. Too many thieves. How about everyone else? Anyone upset?

A Promise Of Reform, But No Guarantees

Carl DeMaio is a smart man. He is right, nothing is being done. It is all lip service. We have people getting pensions more than most of us will make in a lifetime. They are making so much from their pensions that they can retire in their 30's. Something is wrong. Guess who votes against healthcare reform? I would too, if I had that kind of cash.

Millions On Cal Welfare Cards Cashed Out Of State

Are we surprised that this is in the news, nope. The media is great, anything to take our minds off subsidies handed over to wealthy corporations.
