Calculating The Cost Of Thursday's Border Shutdown

Someone gets in my way while I'm making a break across the border, and I'm runnin' them over. End of story.

Prop. 8 Players Join Bid To Repeal Transgender Law

I swear. I catch one transgender peeping at my willy while I'm peeing, and I'm going to go from liberal to conservative.

Roundtable: Filner Saga Rolls On; North Park vs Jack In The Box; Issa On Climate Change

I trust climate change;

I trust Jack-in-the-Box almost as much as climate change. Jack will be Jack...what's, significantly, not to trust? A world w/out JintheB just wouldn't be the same;

and, I totally distrust Filner.

I would have to vote for Jack over Filner any day. Jack could potentially save this city:-)

CNN: Two More Women Allege Unwanted Advances By Filner

If you really care about Filner, hook 'em up with a nice girl!

Always remember, we're talking about Filner's actions--not another's.

CNN: Two More Women Allege Unwanted Advances By Filner

To me, it seems like many people are missing the point. This whole Filner situation amounts to a subpar candidate for mayor. Unless you believe this whole thing is a conspiracy, 25% of these allegations leads one to not want such a person as the Mayor of San Diego.

If you believe none of the things reported, I have some ocean front property...

If you believe this behavior is not technically illegal, and therefore Filner should stay in office, you are dangerous--you would allow much more offensive behavior than this as long as YOU benefited (and I do believe whoever supports Filner staying must derive some sort of selfish benefit--you're either part of one of the groups he's paid lip-service to, or, you voted for him and are unwilling to admit your pony is a loser). Selfish.

Of course I don't judge Filner on a personal level! I've made MANY mistakes in my life about ALOT of things! I only believe the Mayor of San Diego, necessarily, has to be more professional than Filner is. Otherwise, the risk of detriment to the city is too great--a risk a citizen should not be asked to take.

Nurse Wanting Help For Marine Says Filner Made Unwanted Sexual Advances

Boy! laplayaheritage sure knows how to take bits and pieces out of a situation, twist-em, not be candid, and come to conclusions based on the aforementioned. Genius. How does one wrap their brain around your complexity? Guess I'll pass on any real argument with laplayaheritage.

But I will say: Filner's behavior is not what any thinking (and unbiased) person wants as Mayor of San Diego. Whether or not the letter of the law is involved. And whether or not you originally voted for him.

Nurse Wanting Help For Marine Says Filner Made Unwanted Sexual Advances

Once again, Philosopher3000 amazes me (at an earlier date I requested KPBS to take his posts down due to his Username not matching his posts...i.e., he doesn't seem to have any reasoning skills like real philosophers do). Anyway.

Here's P3000's last words on this thread: "So why does KPBS have sex on the mind? Perhaps the reporters of this story have life experiences that lead them to seek revenge against men, and they are using the Mayor as a surrogate? Or perhaps all the corporate money that pours into KPBS from down-town interests is causing them to 'editorialize' toward hearsay and gossip in this direction? More likely, the chance to become part of a NATIONAL STORY and the fame and glory of 'taking down the Mayor' has gone to your heads. Your in too deep."

In response to Philo3000's comment, strata666 tells Philo3000: "... such clarity! Well done :)"

What the.

Back to P30's comment. Instead of all the "reasons" P gives for KPBS's reporting of this matter, perhaps KPBS is a news station. Mayor Filner's behavior is news--BAD news, but still news that citizens should know about.

If the behavior of an elected official is to the degree that Filner's is, none of the things they say they'll do for the city are genuine--it's a lie. The guy is self-centered! A person of such selfishness doesn't really care about you (p30 and strata66). Maybe one or two groups may get special favors (or lip service), but that's not good enough for San Diego. We need a different politician in the Mayor's office.

City Council Won't Pay Filner's Legal Fees

Peking: when you become a lawyer for the city, I'll listen to you. Until then, talk to the hand. You sound like you're mad. We don't have to foot Filner's bill--no matter what you think.

I'd really like to reason with you, but your post shows me it's pointless. Why don't you pay for his lawyer!

Filner's Attorney: City Failed To Provide Mayor With Sexual Harassment Training

Where'd BobFilner go?

Aw, KPBS. Why'd you take him down! Put him back up! He's Filner's voice while Filner is away!
