City Attorney Suggests Audit Of Filner's Credit Card Use

Perhaps the City Attorney could now turn his attention to the present, and the actions of the interim mayor. Mr. Goldsmith might even attempt to fulfill his new-found role as elected City Attorney representing the people to keep the temporary mayor in check. Just sayin, now that the thrill of the chase and the limelight has waned, he might recapture it more by doing his job than by haring off on another Filner jag.

How Should U.S. Respond To Chemical Weapons Attack In Syria?

CA Offender:
If the Republican national vote of 2004 is any guide, military adventurism by a President of one's own party will not cause most members of that party to desert it.

There is something about Congress and war that brings our esteemed "representatives" (being an optimist, I don't say rulers) to cross the aisle the way economic crises will not, and join together in raining down Hell upon people who haven't done a thing to us.

I think your analysis of the motives for this goodwill between party leaders is not sufficient to explain it. Sometimes it is too soon to cram data into a theoretical framework.

How Should U.S. Respond To Chemical Weapons Attack In Syria?

Why should the U.S. "respond" to an act not directed at the United States? This is just daffy, and contrary to the always-partisan CA Offender's beliefs, a bipartisan failing of long standing.

Filner's Exit Isn't The End Of San Diego's Mayoral Mayhem

Carlos:
Dear me, such temper from someone who just got what he had long desired. No sense in having a battle of wits with an unarmed man. You clearly do not know this city.

Interim Mayor Gloria To Announce Tuesday Whether He'll Run For Mayor

If all one read were this little story, one would be left with the strong impression that the interim mayor, Mr. Gloria, did not fire anyone upon assuming temporary control of the mayor's office. That, of course, is not the case at all. Far from it.

Filner's Exit Isn't The End Of San Diego's Mayoral Mayhem

Don:

You are so right. Socialism for rich has returned to San Diego after a few months of pro-small business and individual rights focus by the city government.
