Overcoming The Hurdles To New Sources Of Energy

The solution is not as simple as waiting for a cure-all renewable energy source that is cheaper than oil and life continues as normal. We have to look at every aspect of our lives and how we use energy. We live on average 16 miles from work and sit alone in our cars on congested freeways, taking anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour to get there.

The problem can be attacked from multiple angles, with incentives for businesses to allow certain days for telecommuting and maybe tax credits or some kind of reward for employees to take public transportation. Infrastructure can definitely be improved to support the most renewable and energy efficient form of transportation we have today: the bicycle.
