Teen Review: 'Sucker Punch'

The review of this movie was done wonderfully. I have seen previews to this movie and from what I did see, it was a kick-ass film. I didn't say much of a story, simply because it was a preview, but from what you're saying, the movie could have been done much better.

From what you said about the director, this should not have been a film that he started out with. This is the type of film you wait to do until you have been in the business for a time. It is great that he tried to do it but in my opinion, it seems that he failed at his job.

Having the people look it and bring their own conclusions to it is great and all but this level of conclusion jumping? I don't think it was the director's best work. Still, I would like to see it and see how bad or how good he did with the movie. From the little he did add to the movie sounds great. And I think that's why the younger generation likes it versus the older generation.

Teen Review: 'Exit Through the Gift Shop'

Everyone, so far, in my opinion have made good points about the review. It did seem a bit weak compared to the other reviews I've read that you've written. It didn't really seem like you are interested in the film or wanted to keep us guessing so that we would want to see it more to understand what you're saying. Either way, the bit of a review that you did give did make me want to watch the movie. So gratz for doing that. A bit of elaboration on the characters and about the plot itself would have been much more helpful. I think it left more questions than answers, all in all.

Teen Review: 'It's Kind of a Funny Story'

The way Vicky speaks, I do agree with her whole heartedly. When she talks about the 'depth' and 'happy ending', those are both very true. It would seem to me that it actually seems to have a noir ending to the movie. And those types of movies, not everyone can agree to. But those of us that do watch those movies and actually enjoy them, it would be a good movie to see. Still, without depth, the movie itself may be pegged higher than it deserves. No one can walk in someone shoes unless they live their life but I would say the movie does not do as much as it could.
When it actually comes to the teen depression and suicide, it only seems to skim the surface from what Jesus is saying and isn't that the whole point of the movie? In some type of aspect? Having some funny to take the edge off is great but having nothing but funny on such a serious topic is not what it's about. Not all kids would actually go and get themselves help like the main character in the story did and Jesus is right, people need to be paying more attention. Maybe more suicidal teens should follow the example - though how little it seems in the story - and check themselves into a place that is going to help. Instead of ending what little life they've lived.
